And because iniquity shall abound the love of many shall wax cold

With long suffering forbear one another in love

When hubby and wife quarrel means one of them or the both are lacking in patience. The negative can lead to death and what not.


How can this love be rooted?

To know God personally 

Very important virtue is patience 

With patience, God's plan shall be revealed to you. 

Heb 10:36: .. with patience will obtain the Lord's promises

Things from the devil dont last

Good and perfect gifts comes from the Lord  

2 Tim 2:24 : ..servants of God should be gentle and apt to teach. Not to be quareelling with one another 

1 Peter 2:21 : .. christ suffered for us leaving an example of his steps. Servant Leadership. 

Steven when being stoned to death pleaded unto the Father. 

Paul was also forgiving despite huge suffering due to fruit of patience. 

All this for the greater glory which they saw and attained. 

Patience helps you endure suffering without complaining, ignored without taking offence, etc

Patience will allow you wait for your harvest 

Rom 12:12 Rejoicing in hope, being patient in affliction,  persistent in prayers.

Rom 12:14 Bless does who persecute you, bless do not curse 

Rom 12:17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody.

Rom 12:19 Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.

Rom 12:20 On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."

Rom 12:21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Above verses, very difficult virtues. With surrender to the Holy spirit, God helps.


Disadvantages of lack of patience:

Pro 14:29 A patient man has great understanding, but a quick-tempered man displays folly

We wont make mistakes in Jesus name 

Lack of patience cab ruin relationships 

Hinders career growth (eg wanting to get rich quick)

Rushing to marriage 

Stress and anxiety 

Decreased focus cos you can't see beyond your nose

In Jesus name we shall accomplish God's plans for our lives

Limit creativity 

Bad decisions

Finally, health problems. Limits opportunities. Instead of you to pray, you rush eg for job offering and can even loose life to ritualists. Regrets can also occur.


Conclusion: 

Jam 5:8 You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near.

Wait like the farmer for the harvest 

The vision is for an appointed time, though it tarries, it shall surely come

..


Those Egyptians, shall see them no more 


Prayers: God inculcate us with spirit of patience as you help us totally surrender to you and as we achieve all the good you have for us in Jesus name

Woke up this morning my dad was preparing to travel to the South East, Enugu. Came over for the weekend to spend time with his boys. Presence of dad, good one, felt nourished and taken care of. Miss mama. Stretched out of the bed put things in order. As dad was about to leave, gave me a huge gift of a mango i felt blessed. Ebere gave me cold pure water much later in the day while i was trying to go towards Pastor Gabriel's. Happy to have met her. It's been long havent seen her face and her countenance was welcoming full of smiles, light and cheerfulness, some warmth as well. I stepped out of the house in my caftan and headed towards church. COCIN and environs was filled with presence of people. Got to church, saw Basil, wanted to sit near him, usher instead took me way forward. Two gentlemen were by my side, had a good sunday. Once upon a time, Jesus told people if they have faith as small as a mustard seed, they could tell a mountain to move, and so shall it be. The whole essence of life is love. Through love, many of us believe the world was made. By the Word, things were formed out of things that seemed not to exist. Backed by faith, we can do great and mighty works, bring things that seem not to exist unto reality. Plight of the humans: many keep on wondering what is the purpose of life. The answer, though many seem to know it, many seem to act like they dont know it. Many want to believe and act once more like they dont know it. Solution to the plight of the humans: love thy neighbor as thyself. Do unto others as you want done unto you. Seek God and learn to love him with all. Please him by faith which worketh by love.
