Quiet Time: time set apart to go to an environment with little or no noise to commune with God.

This oughts to be done or cultivated as a way of life.

Programming quietness is important for the child of God.

In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.

Be still and know that i am God.

Holy Spirit - source of our power, our wonderful teacher, revealer of the secret of the future.

*All this can be gotten by observing quiet time.

1 Cor 13:14 - the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Communion - intimate relationship with deep understanding.
  - act of sharing one's deepest thoughts and emotions.

Holy Spirit searches the deep things of God including those challenges that had be confronting us.

Pastor Fagbohum of Rccg Faith Chapel Gwarinpa, when ambushed by like 20 thieves, called upon the Holy Spirit, who gave him a response. Call the name of Jesus 3 times, shall evoke the presence of God. 1- praise and worship God, supply supplication to him
2- study the word
3- program quietness
4- engage in productive thinking (deeper your thoughts, higher your accomplishment; as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he)

5- u must meditate on the Word of God (u must give concentrated attention to the Word of God that requires special interest)

Reflect and introspect. Pay specific attention to what you did right at certain times asking why didnt you do such right

6- present your plans to God and difference would be very clear. You would make your program very flexible. Thr would be little room for frivolity, side talks and unnecessary chatters

1 - BIBLE, HYMN BOOK, CHORUS BOOK, NOTE BOOK, BIRO

TIME AND PLACE FOR QUIET Time
1- freq // once a day
2- quiet place, no disruption no distraction
3- u determine duration // ensure doesnt encroach on other activities // we rmber also, God deserves our best, not leftover
(preferably in the morning)
Why morning:
a. many great men of God, including our Lord Jesus preferred morning
b. the morning is always good

SUGGESTION
1 - prayer
2 - sing few songs
3 - proceed to read bible thoroughly, providing answers
4 - thanksgiving, intercession, supplication, as led...

HOW DOES GOD SPEAKS TO US
1 - via his word ; thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light to my path Ps 119
2 - through a small still voice
3 - could be audible voice
4 - could be inward witness
5 - leading of Holy Spirit, eg prophecy and the likes

OBSTACLES TO EFFECTIVE QUIET Time
1. Interruption
2. Laziness
3. Bad planning

CONCLUSION
a fruitful and consistent quiet time brings out a balanced spiritual development in a christian who so desires it and works/walks towards it.

Woke up this morning my dad was preparing to travel to the South East, Enugu. Came over for the weekend to spend time with his boys. Presence of dad, good one, felt nourished and taken care of. Miss mama. Stretched out of the bed put things in order. As dad was about to leave, gave me a huge gift of a mango i felt blessed. Ebere gave me cold pure water much later in the day while i was trying to go towards Pastor Gabriel's. Happy to have met her. It's been long havent seen her face and her countenance was welcoming full of smiles, light and cheerfulness, some warmth as well. I stepped out of the house in my caftan and headed towards church. COCIN and environs was filled with presence of people. Got to church, saw Basil, wanted to sit near him, usher instead took me way forward. Two gentlemen were by my side, had a good sunday. Once upon a time, Jesus told people if they have faith as small as a mustard seed, they could tell a mountain to move, and so shall it be. Backed by faith, we can do great and mighty works, bring things that seem not to exist unto reality. Plight of the humans: many keep on wondering what is the purpose of life.
