Endeavor by all means to have name written in the book of life, master agape love - Testimony 4th Febr, 2017
Woke up, had one of the 'bestest' sleep I havent had in a long while. On the radio transmission: Pastor preached about the fact that we ought to be known by God for us to make heaven. Many on the last day will say, Lord, Lord, we have done miracles in your name, have cast our devils; but the Lord will say, away from me, ye that practised lawlessness.
Jesus once told his disciples that they shouldn't rejoice that in his name,
demons were cast out, and miracles happened, but in the fact that their name
is
written in the book of life.
Lesson1: endeavor by all means to do all what it will take to have name written in the book of life by giving life to Jesus Christ
and being obedient to God's will.
Jesus name has power and authority upon the coordinates of
space and time we are inhabiting, selah.
Conclusion: very important for us to know the word of God for ourselves;
live by
the standard, and get the Will of God happening in our lives.
We
should strive to be witnesses of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our
thoughts,
acts, being, everything should be ruled by Christ. At office
and at
our work place, when they see us, they could confess that
this is a
man with difference. You are witnessing. Not just picking
bible every
now and then, going for evangelism which is not bad.
Let's
strive to be witnesses.
Our
lives and our church, should not be like church in Revelation,
in which the Lord mentioned: they said they are rich, clothed,
blessed; but he sees them weak, weary, wretched and poor.
Let's find ourselves in line with the Will of God and we shall
strive to be witnesses for God's kingdom in Jesus name.
I stepped out, met some folks in the neighborhood. Sure we were
glad to see one another.
Resolve: make more effort to be there for the people in our lives, hang
out more with them and be there for them. Their is joy in
sharing.
I met Joy, she was near Henry.
We both shared about Jesus, and the msg I heard in the morning.
We both agreed that we ought to worship in spirit & in truth.
Things, events and moves
connected nicely at the keke-vehichle hangout; shared brotherly love,
sad though the girls didnt have danwake a local food.
Back home, I did some
exercise, some writing and continued reading about the love
of God, deep interest in God and earnestness for God. Warmed
some yam from last night and some bean cake.
Had a good swell morning. FM came up intermittently.
David called, bro was like he wants to check on me.
Sure come. He came with some
Borno brothers. Met them first time. Living Faithians.
Quite interesting, quite a
twist of coincidence, they happened to even come from my
village. And interestingly, they know some people I know like
my cousin and a friend from childhood whose sister got married
same day and they just happened to be coming from a church called EYN.
Tell cousin sister you met Oscar, one mentioned. LOL.
Exchanged connects, and they were gone.
Knows my mom b.t.w based on university connection.
Me and David hung out a bit
longer. Got some android apps from him, he got Whatsapp
updated via me. Got my sim, didnt fit, had to use etisalat
big sim size to fit in the mini that was my airtel. Luckily,
data was misbehaving and I realised, heyyy, could use flash
share give him the whatsapp app, afterall mine is new.
Did that.
Gave security man at the gate my laptop and small tecno phone
for charging.
After coming up with a plan for foodstuffs, me and David
left for Yerkasuwa. We shared how we ought to work on our lives so we had add more value to others.
A pastor once mentioned, Pastor E. A. Adeboye and Bishop
Oyedepo run on jet, some have complained. Well, they have
laboured hard, added value to people's life, fasted a lot:
food, sleep and likes. They created the space which they are
now inhabiting.
In like wise the same manner, our life is going to be polished
so we be of service to many others and blessings be rolling.
At Yerkasuwa, a madam & a lad served as servers for our queries.
Got us bags of foodie with nylon filled. Walking round masses
of people with nylon like champions. We went to a man selling
vegetables, got us wonderful bundle of carrots, green peas,
tatase and cucumbers.
Coin: thru' Jesus we are overcomers.
We left the market, discussed, had triumph.
Principle: Do unto others as you want done unto you.
At home, David got us some rice with lots of moringa and
sauce with 'yaji' and we were in. Shared food and stuffs man,
a good saturday.
Stepped out while escorting, on a hunt for cabbage, we ended
up beside my old church @ football viewing center in Lungu.
My guy the fruity-vegi guy aint got no cabbage got some
pineapple and orange from him and we were happy to juice it.
Cabbage would be available in the morning he mentioned.
We left, sucked more juice, I and David parted ways.
MorningFresh product for washing cutleries, metallic sponge, fruit for the boys and am home!
There is love in sharing.
Got my charged devices and i am in.
Music from phone, fm doing it's work, internet connected and I
was researching agape.
Lesson2:
Agape is God's nature, want to learn that and I welcome you.
Thank God we have the Holy Spirit to help and guide us, and
Jesus Christ whom the father allowed to be sacrificed on our
behalf to show us how much he loves us.
Pls, lets all come to Jesus and remain in him.
And do as he commanded, to love one another, including our
enemies.
This is what the world needs so as to be the best it could be.
Let's remember that God's love is agape. Which is love seeking
goodwill of a person, benevolence and willful delight.
1 Corinthians 13 expansiates on what the life of one living
agape love should look like.
excerpt from study -
Agape is not based on emotion but on the will. Each characteristic of agape is a deliberate choice to act in a certain manner.
Martin Luther King Jr was a proponent of agape love and it's an ingredient
that helped to overcome racism in America.
Another excerpt - According to 1 Corinthians 13:4–8, agape is patient,
kind, rejoicing with truth, bearing all things, believing all things,
hoping in all things, and enduring through all things. In contrast,
agape does not envy, boast, or rejoice in wrongdoing; it is not
arrogant, rude, selfish, irritable, or resentful. Most importantly,
agape does not end. It will not fade away like philia. Agape is not
based on circumstances and will never end.
Perfect example of agape love is the tale of Good Samaritan and the
sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
May God help us live by this beautiful model in Jesus name.
We are told that perfect love drives out fear. The love in perfect love
is agape.
I hunger for this I hate fear.
